Goal: Practise four exchanges using calendars a–d.

The numbers 5–8 are calendar dates. This question requires only the weekday name.

5. Let’s talk – Calendar check (8 minutes)

Four possible exchanges: What day is it today? – It’s Tuesday./It’s Wednesday./It’s Thursday./It’s

Teacher-designed check: mark Friday 15 as TODAY. The simulated AI sentence “Today is Thursday.” 
is incorrect. Replace Thursday with Friday: “Today is Friday.” Do not use the computer’s date to 
decide the role-play day.
Prepare the page 27 Project for Period 22: draw two pictures of things done at home at the weekend, 
such as listening to music and tidying a study corner. Keep the pictures; new vocabulary need not be 
written yet.
