- To know talk about their subjects.
- Practise in pairs
II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... 
III. Preparation.
1.Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book.
2.Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks.

Task 1. Look, listen and repeat
- Tell Ss that they are going to read a story in which they ask/ answer Qs about school timetables, using:
 When do you have English? 
 I have it on (days of the week) 
- Let sts talk about the characters in the pictures
- Play the recording
- Play the recording again (sometimes).
- Go around and help Ss
- Correct about the intonation, ....
- Ask: Which sentence does T. ask N.? 
 Which sentence does N. answer?
Task 2. Point and say
- Tell pupils that they are going to practice asking and answering questions about which days of the week we have subjects, using When do you have English? 
I have it on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays (note s after the days)
- Have them look at the pictures to understand how the language is used in different contexts. Help Ss if they need
- Point to the first picture and do the task with one pupil, using the expressions in the bubbles and the words under the picture. 
- Check as a class and correct pronunciation, if necessary.
Task 3. Let’s talk
- Tell pupils that they are going to practice asking and answer questions about school timetables, using 
What subjects do you have today? 
When do you have .?
Who is your . teacher?
- Go around to help them
- Call some pairs to report in front of the class 
- Practice activity 1 again
- Retell the content of the lesson.
- Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures again
- Sing the song: What day is it today?
- Look at the pictures in act 1/p54 and talk about them
 Who are they?
 Where are they?
 What are they doing?
 What are they talking about? 
- Listen.

- Read and fill the gapped paragraph, using the timetable. 
- Do the crossword puzzle.

- Love their class, subjects.

4. Forming competence:
- To know talk about their subjects.
- Practise in pairs

Task 4. Listen and number
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to four dialogues about different PE timetables and number them in the order they hear. 
Task 5. Look and write
- Play the recording more than once, if necessary 
- Tell them that they should focus the days of the week. 
Key: a3, b4, c1, d2
Task 6. Let’s play
- Tell pupils that they are going fill the gaps of the sentences relating to the school subjects.
- Go around and offer help, if necessary
- Check as a class. If there is enough time, call a few pupils to read aloud completed sentences.

* Fun time:
- Tell pupils that they are going to do the puzzle by writing the names of the school subjects. 
- Do number 1 as an example: Science.

- Pronounce the ending letter clusters ct in subject, and cts in subjects. 
- Listen and tick the correct boxes showing the words filling the gapped sentences. Then complete the sentences, and read them aloud.
- Say the chant What subject do you have today?

2. Skills:
- Develop Ss listening, speaking & writing skills.
3. Attitudes/ Quality: 
- Confident when talking English

Task 1. Listen and repeat
- Tell pupils that they are going to practise saying the sounds of the letters ct and cts in the words subject and subjects respectively.
- Play the recording and ask pupils to repeat a few times.
- Put the letters ct and cts in the words subject and subjects and the sentences English is my favourite subject. and What subjects do you have today? on the board.
- Play the recording a few more times and let pupils say the sentences, paying attention to the target sounds.
Task 2. Listen and circle. Then say aloud
- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to find the sounds ct or cts in the words subject and subjects and tick.
- Give pupils a few seconds 
- Check pupils’ understanding.	
- Play the recording

Task 3. Let’s chant
- Tell pupils that they are going to say the chant What subjects do you have today?
What subjects do you have today?
I have Maths, Music and Art.
How often do you have Maths?
I have it every day of the week.
What is your favourite subject?
English is my favourite subject.
- Check comprehension. 
- Play the recording a few times for pupils to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions.
- Put them into groups of four. Get pairs or groups to sit opposite of each other and practice chanting and doing actions. Go around offering help, if necessary.
- Call two groups of pupils to the front of the class to chant and do actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.

- Retell the content of the lesson.
- Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structures again

- Tell pupils that they are going to read the text about Nga and complete the timetable.
- Get them to look at the timetable and guess the subjects they can use to fill the gaps.
- Ask pupils to read the text again and do the task
- Set a time limit for pupils to do the task.
- Go around the class and offer help, if necessary.
- Ask pupils to compare their answers before checking as a class
- Call four pupils to write their answers on the board.
