- Vocabulary: swimming, cooking, collecting stamps, playing chess

- Develop Ss listening & speaking skills.

- Ss will be active.
4. Forming competence.
- To know talking about activities they likes.
- Work in pairs

Week: 11 Period: 41 UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING? Lesson 1 (1, 2) I. Objectives. - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer question about what someone like doing. - Sentence Patterns: What do you like doing? − I like _____. - Vocabulary: swimming, cooking, collecting stamps, playing chess 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening & speaking skills. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Ss will be active. 4. Forming competence. - To know talking about activities they likes. - Work in pairs II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... III. Preparation. 1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2. Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. IV. Procedures. Look, listen and repeat -Tell pupils that they are going to learn to how to ask and answer questions about things someone likes doing. Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? What are they talking about? - Play the recording - Play the recording again (sometimes). - Go around and help Ss - Correct about the intonation, .... - Ask: Which sentence does T. ask P.? Which sentence does P. answer? Task 2. Point and say - Tell pupils that they are going to practice asking and answering questions about what someone likes doing, using What do you like doing? I like+verb-ing+(noun) - Have them look at the pictures to understand how the language is used in different contexts. Help Ss if they need - Point to the first picture and do the task with one pupil, using the expressions in the bubbles and the words under the picture. - Check as a class and correct pronunciation, if necessary. - Tell pupils that they are going to practice asking and answer questions, using “What do you like doing? I like - Go around to help them - Call some pairs to report in front of the class - Retell the content of the lesson. - Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structurese again Slap the board - Talk about the pict./ p46 - Listen. - Then listen and repeat - Ss play the role of the dia. (PW) - Some Ps report - Answer: What do you like doing? I like watching TV. - Look at the pict and say aloud the words or phrases (S, S, S – PWs – GWs) - One works with T. Others listen - A few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. * Work in pairs. Tell your partners what you like doing - Work in pairs, one pupil asks the question, the other answers - Report - Take note ********************************************************************* Week: 11 Period: 42 UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING? Lesson 1 (3, 4, 5) I. Objectives. - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer question about what someone like doing. - Listen and tick the correct pictures. - Read, and fill the gapped exchanges, using the pictures. - Sing the song I like doing things. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening, reading & speaking skills. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Be active. 4. Forming competence. - To know talking about activities they likes. - Work in pairs II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... III. Preparation. 1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2. Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. IV. Procedures. Listen and tick - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to three dialogues about hobbies and tick the correct pictures - Have pupils look at the pictures to identify the characters’ hobbies. - Check understanding. Task 4. Look and write - Play the recording - Play again (3 times) - Check as a class. Ask: What can you hear in number 1/2/3? Audio script: /p61 T's book Key: 1. b 2. c 3. a Task 5. Let’s sing - Tell pupils that they are going fill the gaps of the sentences relating to the characters’ hobbies. - Go around and offer help, if necessary - Check as a class. If there is enough time, call a few pupils to read aloud completed sentences. Key: 1. playing football 2. playing chess 3. reading (books) 4. collecting stamps *Fun time - Tell pupils that they are going to sing the song I like doing things/p47 - Help Ss if they need (new words, structures,..) - Play the recording or sing the song all the way through. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Get groups of pupils to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Ask Ss to sing the song - Retell the content of the lesson. - Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structurese again - Ask and answer the questions about what someone likes doing, using What do you like doing? I like............ - Talk about the pict. - Listen. - Then listen and tick the correct pictures - Put the answers on the small boards. Answer T's Qs - Look at the pict, talk about them to identify what the people like doing - Write down (individual, S-S, S-Ss) - Report on the small boards. - Read each line of the song - Listen. Knowledge: - Ask and answer question about someone's hobbies. - Sentence Patterns: What’s your hobby? − I like _____. - Vocabulary: riding a bike, playing badminton, playing a kite, taking photos, watching TV 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - United friend 4. Forming competence: - To know talk about their class - Practise in pairs II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... Knowledge: - Ask and answer question about someone's hobbies. - Listen and number the pictures in the correct order. - Read and fill the gapped exchanges, using the pictures. - Play the game what’s your hobby? - Sentence Patterns: What’s your hobby? − I like _____. - Vocabulary: riding a bike, playing badminton, playing a kite, taking photos, watching TV 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality: - Love their class - United friend 4. Forming competence: - To know talk about their class - Practise in pairs II. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... When the song pauses, the pupil who hold the ball must answer the question What is your hobby? - Play a song and pause sometimes - Read the text again - Retell the content of the lesson. - Do exercises in the workbook. Learn by heart the new words and structurese again Play Guessing game: topic: hobbies S: do action and ask: What is my hobby? Ss: You like........ - Talk about the pict. - Listen. - Then listen and number the pictures they hear - Put the answers on the small boards. Answer T's Qs - Look at the pict, talk about them to identify what the people like doing or their hobbies - Write down (individual, S-S, S-Ss) - Report on the small boards. - Look at the task-sheets and say aloud the phrases - Listen - Listen and sing the song and answer - Take note *********************************************************************
